Most Companies Avoid Integrating Social Media Despite Evidence of Benefits

These releases speaks to a global research study commissioned by Avanade around how companies are using social media technologies in the enterprise. The survey revealed that most companies have no formal plans to manage the adoption of social media or leverage its benefits; despite early evidence such tools bring improved customer relationships and increased sales.

But in a globalized economy it is more critical – and challenging – than ever to build vibrant customer relationships across geographies, industries and at all levels throughout organizations. Social media technologies have the potential to transform the way companies build and manage relationships with their customers.
