Microsoft has redefined and reshaped its existing partner certification. In this context, Microsoft has added the possibility for its Dynamics AX partners to certify for specific industries. The purpose of this certification is to enable end customers to more easily and more objectively identify Microsoft partners with recognised industry-specific skills and expertise. This new level of transparency will assure customers that they receive a higher level of industry competence

Microsoft's partner certification program still includes requirements in regards to sales volume, number of Microsoft certified professionals, quality of implementation skills and so on. The industry certification by AMR Research is just an additional tool for end customers to better select their Dynamics AX partner of choice.
