Equiniti received a single ESP portal platform that could be content-managed, optimised and branded for any of Equiniti's customers

Business Situation

​When Equiniti secured BT’s employee share plan (ESP) administration in early 2010, it had an opportunity, not only to build a new industry-leading portal for BT’s 80,000 employees, but also to consolidate all its customers on a robust and flexible platform.  Equiniti wanted to build a single ESP portal platform that could be content-managed, optimised and branded for any of Equiniti's customers. 
 

Customer Solution

​Equiniti’s requirement was to create a modular, web-based and content-managed portal allowing employees to manage their UK Share Incentive Plan (SIP), BT Allshare and Save As You Earn (SAYE) plans in a consolidated view, with single sign-on access to all portal functions.

With Accenture providing the consultancy for this project, Avanade was called upon to fill out the project team. Three Avanade developers worked full time at Equiniti, contributing to nearly every aspect of the portal.

Results

​All employees of BT now have 24x7 access to the system. With consolidated access to all their transactions and share plans, BT staff have a much better experience, and the feedback has supported that.
