Business Situation
Hitachi Powertools Norway utilized an old and heavily customized Microsoft Dynamics AX solution and did not get value for money from the premium services delivered by their existing supplier. In turn, Hitachi wanted faster delivery.
Solution
Hitachi decided to upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009, leveraging the enhanced new functionality, especially around warehouse management. Because Hitachi wanted to minimize the number of customizations, they decided to review all program customizations and all their business processes and use a much more standardized AX solution.
Results
Avanade delivered the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 upgrade, which allows Hitachi to save more than 50% on customization hours. With Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009, Hitachi now has a much more streamlined solution that allows better performance and better response time. A more efficient set-up on a platform for the future, together with easier access to business critical information, will secure future profit.
