Business Situation

Vizzavi wanted to create an integrated toolbar for Internet Explorer to promote the use of its Web portal. 

Solution

Avanade developed an ActiveX toolbar that integrates with the Internet Explorer environment. The toolbar incorporates a sophisticated update mechanism to check for new versions and install the new versions automatically. Avanade coded directly in C/C++ to keep size to a minimum.

Results

The "barre de navigation Vizzavi" toolbar has been distributed as part of a customized ISP offering.
