Business Situation

The Office of the City of Los Angeles Mayor needed assistance to build the website for the Workforce Literacy Project, an initiative meant to provide literacy providers, project finders, volunteers, local businesses, labor groups, media and the general public with up-to-date information via the web.

Solution

Avanade worked with a team from Accenture to create the ASP.NET/C# website to accommodate the project requirements: to connect volunteers to literacy programs, search on literacy programs on different criteria, and provide up-to-date information to the users.

Results

The website will:

• Link volunteers to organizations in need of their assistance
