Business Situation
The DPI recognised that the intelligent application and communication of information was the key in enabling them to work effectively with their customers and the wider community – as well as tap into potential opportunities. To achieve this, they needed to improve the knowledge exchange between regional sites throughout Queensland by making it very easy for their staff to publish content to the intranet.
Solution
Avanade recommended that DPI replace its existing publishing system with Microsoft Content Management Server 2002 as it supported the integration of multiple CMS installations, which can be mapped to one data store and multiple Sharepoint server repositories. Avanade also significantly tailored CMS2002 to address the cultural and technical issues facing DPI’s staff.
