Every day, UK National Rail Enquiries serves 1.3 million passenger enquiries. National Rail intends to provide users with an intuitive interface that makes their travel life easier. With a Windows® Phone 7 application, travelers will be able to plan trips in advance, check live station departures and receive real-time notifications of service disruption or delays to their journey.

 

Solution
The National Rail application is an example of how Avanade can deliver mobile solutions for enterprise customers. We partnered with National Rail on this request to expand and improve how passengers can stay up to date in their rail schedules. We leveraged our global creative, Silverlight, Expression Blend expertise to complete this application in a few short weeks.

 

Results
The Train TravelTM application is just one step in building momentum in the mobile industry, and will be part of a set of showcase applications being released on the Windows® Phone 7 operating system.
