Business Situation

​Accenture is a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company. It wanted to improve client account management and join up sales and marketing activity in its health and public services business unit with a new customer relationship management (CRM) software suite.

Solution

Avanade Online Services (AOS) enabled Accenture to deploy Microsoft Dynamics CRM using a ‘software as a service’ model, without onsite hardware or software. Accenture pays a fixed, predictable fee per user, per month and access the software over the internet using a web interface or familiar Microsoft Outlook software.

Results

​Accenture were up and running inside 12 weeks – very fast for a CRM deployment. AOS helps Accenture keep costs down because there is no hardware or software to buy, maintain or manage. Instead of an upfront capital cost, the company has a predictable ongoing operating cost. The system can accommodate new users on demand which makes it more flexible and scalable. More importantly for the business, thanks to the new CRM software, everyone has access to the same information and the company has a better insight into its pipeline and sales data.
