​In line with the UK government’s personalization agenda in healthcare, CareOnline enables healthcare users and their families to manage their own home care services through an online portal — choosing the care type and cost, booking the care visit, resheduling appointments and managing individual care budgets.

​Solution
​Taking CareOnline to the cloud was a natural progression for h.e.t. software. Care agencies would no longer have to deploy and manage the application on their own file servers. Storage and scalability barriers would be eliminated, and access for service users would require only a web-enabled device.

​Results

​CareOnline is currently in the final stages of testing and fine tuning before its planned launch in Summer 2011.

Across most industries today, cloud computing is influencing how information is stored and managed, and how services are delivered. For home care, h.e.t. software sees the potential for increasing amounts of data consolidation with CareOnline, which already collects information HR and finance systems, for example.
