Vanderlande wanted to achieve a single uniform image throughout the company, which was a real challenge as the business needed to migrate 2,100 mailboxes within a relatively short period of time. The project began by analysing the previous environment and drawing up a requirements document for the Exchange environment.
Roll out of the migration took around three months and was carried out in phases, including a pilot test within the IT department. The rest of the company was then migrated gradually without a problem.Avanade ensured that management personnel received in-depth training on how to maintain Microsoft Exchange and Outlook. In addition to this solution, other Microsoft solutions such as Office Communicator and Live Meeting were rolled out.
Vanderlande’s objectives – simplify and centralise the IT environment, reduce costs and optimise processes – were achieved in full and within the project time frame.Vanderlande has enjoyed the collaboration with Avanade.
