Aspen Technology operated its business on a Windows NT platform and built its products based on this platform. To increase profitability and market share, Aspen Technology wanted to rebuild its products on the Windows 2000 platform. In order to rebuild the products on this platform, Aspen Technology needed to migrate its internal environment to Windows 2000.

Solution

Aspen Technology planned for its IT staff to migrate the company to Windows 2000, but wanted Avanade's help with developing a Windows 2000 Active Directory design. Avanade created a Windows 2000 Active Directory design and implementation plan that detailed how to deploy the design. Avanade also provided Aspen Technology with best practices documents garnered from Avanade's numerous Windows 2000 engagements.
