BTD differentiates itself from competitors by going beyond fabrication to offering a range of services that help customers reduce overall costs. To accommodate growth, BTD needed a more scalable business management solution. In addition, BTD wanted to decrease the time that people spent on production, scheduling and planning. Solution

Avanade supported BTD in the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX, a replacement for Infor SyteLine, which would bring this last component of the company’s IT system to the Microsoft platform. Avanade provided the in-depth consulting needed to align Dynamics AX with the company’s unique business needs. This included:

• An engineering change management function that helps BTD comply with ISO standards
• A sales estimating function
• A returns authorization function
