HHSDC's current MSO customers are partners in a federated e-mail system topology. HHSDC has the need to upgrade its current MSO from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003 and back-end infrastructure with very little business impact to the end-user community. This project will maintain the relationship where HHSDC manages and controls the resources of the Exchange “back office” while various agencies manage and control the authentication of their staff. This project will implement a system with the ability to provision those end user accounts into the resources of the MSO.
Avanade will create the detailed designs for Active Directory and Exchange systems, perform the migration of an initial group of 13,000 users and finally the creation of a provisioning system that HHSDC can use on an ongoing basis for user management.
