Business Situation

In the last 15 years, Fantasy Diamond has grown 15 fold. In 2004, Fantasy Diamond was nearing the limits of its legacy IBM AS/400 ERP system. The company needed a replacement solution capable of supporting its growth and tightly managing its production processes.

Solution

Avanade worked with Fantasy Diamond to implement the Microsoft Axapta ERP system. Axapta automates and streamlines many of Fantasy Diamond’s business processes, including invoicing and managing financials.

Results

During the first year of Axapta implementation, Fantasy Diamond’s sales grew by 16 percent and inventory dropped by 14 percent.

Even as Fantasy Diamond’s revenues grew, its manufacturing late order percentage and customer rejections for quality dropped by 7 and 6 percent, respectively, in the first year of having Axapta.

Moving forward, Fantasy Diamond plans to take advantage of its Axapta deployment to source raw materials, especially diamonds.
