• Creation of an Editorial Projects Portal for the group with easy access to information and extensive search capabilities. The Portal is required so that Editors and Directors of Education can reuse and share knowledge capital and published articles across the group.
• Had to incorporate all of Latin America as well as Spain.
• A critical requirement was for a flexible, extensible and scalable architecture for launching and sharing applications

Solution
The solution is based on Sharepoint Portal Server and utilises IIS/ASP and Windows 2000. Sharepoint’s potential as a Document Management tool is maximised and provides extensive functionallity including indexing and taxonomy services, document edition, version control, subscription management and definition of publication approval workflow. Portal Personalisation is delivered through the Digital Dashboard architecture and extended by technology components such as ASP, COM+, XML/XSLT.
