Business Situation
LTCG needed a reusable ETL framework to get new clients up and running faster than previously experienced. Each time LTCG brought a new client on board, it had to spend up to six months building an integration layer to enable its service applications to work with the client’s data servers.

LTCG was in the process of building a data warehouse based on Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2005 but needed a partner with enterprise experience in BI solutions to enable them to consolidate disparate data sources into the warehouse.

Solution
LTCG engaged Avanade as an expert consultant in ETL design in order to:

• Offer guidance on building the overall ETL framework
• Provide expertise and training on how to use the ETL framework with the SQL Server technology
• Code and test ETL packages
