Solution
With Mercer HR’s clear specifications , Avanade built the Healthconnect solution, a .NET-based application built on the Avanade Connected Architecture for .NET. Healthconnect is fully managed and maintained by Mercer HR. Employees use it to track their absences.

Microsoft Windows 2000 Server is functioning as Healthconnect’s application and web server, with Microsoft Message Queuing being used for all asynchronous messaging. All the information is stored in a back-end Microsoft SQL Server 2000 database that will allow Healthconnect to scale both upwards and outwards.
