Business Situation
With a state-of-the-art sports and entertainment venue recently constructed in 1995 in the heart of Seattle’s burgeoning downtown area, the City of Seattle and the NBA’s Seattle Supersonics realized that they needed to differentiate the fan’s experience. To continue their impressive occupancy levels of suites and secure a sell-out season for their sports and entertainment acts, the KeyArena and Seattle Supersonics wished to improve the value of the fan’s overall experience.

Solution
Connected to a reliable high-speed connection, the Suite Technology Portal is comprised of HP Multimedia Personal Computers and the latest release of Microsoft XP Media Center and Microsoft Office 2003. Leading the project from pre-conception to delivery, Avanade designed and deployed the system as well as leading the portal interface design and architecture. Deliverables of the system includes: 

• Microsoft Windows XP Media Center and Office System 2003 – allows fans to access Microsoft programs for business presentations
• Secure and reliable Internet access to check e-mail provided by Microsoft ISA Server
• The ability to record and replay live game action, view on demand game statistics and scoreboards.
• Links to artists web sites during concerts
• Full DVD/CD capabilities – create customized music, slides, view movies and play interactive video games.
• Direct access to menus and ticket availabilities for future Sonics games and KeyArena events
