​Business Situation
McDonald's wanted to present their offers and products through applications of innovative design, which offered a high-level user experience.

Solution
McDonald's decided on a Microsoft Surface device to display its core products, press releases and a list of restaurant locations.  Avanade developed a set of applications for Surface using Microsoft .NET, Visual Studio and WPF.

Results
Avanade developed a set of applications that enable the client to:

• Display press reviews with the ability to select the edition according to the release date. Press releases are automatically downloaded from the internet and saved as images to be used by Surface.
• Create a custom menu by selecting core products (split into several categories), with the ability to view the nutritional information of individual elements and the entire GDA reports menu, which is divided by sex and/or age.
• Refresh key information i.e. opening hours and type of restaurant, with the additional ability to calculate the route to the desired restaurant.
