In this series, we will be highlighting the careers of Avanadi. Exploring what steps they have taken to get where they are now and how they see the further development of their careers. This entry spotlights Naween Badloe, Solution Architect at Avanade. He lives in Blokker with his family.

Returning to Avanade
Before joining Avanade for a second time, Naween worked abroad at Microsoft: “After my graduation I started working at Avanade for a year when I switched companies and was hired by Microsoft. I travelled abroad, developed my skills and gained the experience I need to help me succeed in my work. The organization is very much focused on engineering and product development. I was empowered to work on things that I am passionate about, but missed being on the client side and working with clients directly. After moving back to The Netherlands, I was reintroduced to Avanade and developed my career further.”

Newest technology
Today Naween is working as a Solution Architect for Analytics: “I started out as a consultant and within two weeks I was working on-site at a customers’ office. At Avanade we work with the newest technologies and implement custom solutions that help customers make better business decisions. It makes my work challenging and fulfilling. Next to that I work with a team of young and dynamic professionals with a high level of dedication to master the biggest challenges. Together we identify the customers' challenges and set up a custom cloud data platform to predict future outcomes based on past and present data.”

Becoming a career advisor
Avanade assigns every employee with a career advisor: “A career advisor guides you through your career, helping you grow professionally and feel inspired, confident and cared for. I talk to my career advisor about my career and professional growth path and also my presales activities and experiences with customers and projects. I am a career advisor myself for multiple mentees. When they are passionate about what they do, we all win: Avanade, our employees and customers. My team and I grow together by discussing our challenges, sharing experiences and limitless learning with the help of our employer.”

I like increasing our brand awareness and showing customers the endless possibilities of technology. In the future I would like to develop my skills even more, focus on a growth mindset and continue being a career advisor.”
