Business Situation

ATSIS needed to replace its legacy Informix database servers with a more flexible Microsoft SQL 2000 environment.
In addition, the legacy NT4 server environment needed upgrading to allow the introduction of more efficient server systems.
Legacy systems included Citrix Meta frame 1.8, Exchange 5.5, MS-Proxy and Unix databases.

Solution

In addition to providing a Microsoft SQL environment, Avanade will be designing, developing and implementing a Windows Server 2003 Active Directory to facilitate the implementation of latest generation server systems.
The deployment, development and design included the following products: Microsoft Exchange Server 2003; Microsoft Office 11 (2003); Microsoft SQL Server 2000; Microsoft ISA Server; Citrix MetaFrame; Microsoft Virtual Server.

Results

ATSIS will be ready to deploy a more efficient and effective Microsoft Windows Server 2003 environment to all its users throughout Australia.
This will increase reliability and efficiency reduce administrative overheads and create a more flexible platform for the deployment of new applications.
