GLOBAL RESEARCH Avanade seeks to bring clarity out of complexity to clearly define what cloud enables. To assess the attitudes and views of executives and IT leaders worldwide, in January 2009, Avanade commissioned an independent survey of more than 500 professionals in 16 countries. The results highlight their views of cloud computing, and this executive summary of research findings offers insight into who’s adopting cloud and the reasons behind their decisions.
In a follow-up global research study commissioned by Avanade in September 2009, it was found that cloud computing is no longer just a buzzword that companies are trying to figure out, rather there is a growing global acceptance of cloud computing strategies in the enterprise.
