Business Situation
Posten was facing several issues with its intranet, which was built on a highly customised Microsoft SharePoint 2003 platform. They found it expensive and difficult to maintain, with down-time and declining usage. Posten wanted a partner to help them migrate to MOSS 2007.
Solution
Based on the requirements, a solution based on SharePoint 2010 would not only meet the requirements, but would be easier to establish and offer improved performance. Avanade, together with Accenture, were engaged to deliver a new enterprise-wide intranet.
Results
With the assistance of Accenture’s and Avanade's Information Management team, Posten has a much improved capability to serve the need for distributing internal communication and to improve the efficiency in how employees collaborate and share information. The operational costs will be significantly lower after the old intranet is taken out of operation.
