Business Situation

Encompys is a startup that needed to build a new capability. The project involved developing a straight through processing application service provider software package based on Microsoft technologies. Encompys needed to build a single, customized point of entry for all pre-trade, trade, and post-trade activities and seamlessly link portfolio services to Customer Relationship Management (CRM)--all through a totally secure Internet portal.

Solution

Avanade designed an integration architecture that featured BizTalk Server as the hub for all information routing. Primarily intended for the asset management community, the Encompys solution required connectivity to multiple back office custodial systems for portfolio information, managed various market data feeds and provided robust Onyx CRM capabilities, all linked together through a Plumtree portal.
