​Business Situation
​Alongside personal contact, Friesland Bank uses many communication channels to reach customers, including its website. This website, however, did not fully meet the bank's requirements. It was out-dated, in terms of content and technology, and did not offer customers the opportunity to request or enquire about banking products online.
​Solution
​After conducting an internal evaluation, Friesland Bank selected a solution built on Microsoft SharePoint® 2007 and three expert SharePoint vendors were invited to tender for the development of a new website.  Once the Avanade team had mapped out the entire situation, the building and delivering of the first sections of the website began. With the exception of the request forms, the entire set-up of the website was managed by Avanade.
​Results
The Friesland Bank website is now more extensive and more interactive than ever before. Customers can order banking products online and get in touch easily. The website is completely harmonised with the other communication resources that Friesland Bank uses.
