Business Situation
Henkel Ibericas systems were on a Windows NT platform. Their IT Department provides infrastructure services (networking, helpdesk, printers etc.) for Headquarters in Spain and in Portugal, for factories throughout the region as well as to other companies in the Group such as Cognis. Henkel Iberica wanted to become a Center of Excellence for Europe and therefore needed to be able to provide best-of-class service levels. In addition, the department was about to expand its services scope to cover South America. It was therefore decided that they needed to migrate their systems to a Windows 2000 platform.

Solution
Avanade is helping Henkel Iberica to build and implement its migration plan utilizing the Avanade Windows 2000 solution offering. In addition, Avanade has customized SharePoint Portal Server to meet the companys document management needs and provide portal capabilities such as personalized news, events, usage statistics, system availability, and help desk procedures.
