Konecranes a global manufacturer operating in more than 400 locations, needed to harmonize their business communications and collaboration systems to realize the vision of one global company

 

Solution
Konecranes turned to Avanade to help deliver a global Unified Communication system. By exploring multiple scenarios, leveraging Avanade’s Business Benefits Calculator and Estimating Model. It was determined that the most beneficial option, both from a financial and functional perspective was to provide Unified Communications as a cloud service to Konecranes 8000 employees.

 

Results
By migrating Email services and adding functionality such as chat, conferencing, presence and project workspaces  provided by the Microsoft BPOS-S cloud service. Konecranes will receive ROI. The system is also easily extendable to customers, partners, suppliers and  future acquisitions to further improve collaboration across groups.
