Business Situation
The Department of Revenue at the State of Arizona is currently undergoing a major technology revitalization effort. As a part of this effort, Accenture tasked Avanade to build a Taxpayer Service Center Portal (http://www.aztaxes.gov) to provide businesses 24/7 access to file and pay taxes, distribute program city reports to participating cities, and provide bulk filing capabilities to payroll providers

Solution
Avanade designed and built http://www.aztaxes.gov using Windows Server 2003, Visual Studio .net 2003, BizTalk Server 2004, Office System 2003, and ACA.net. The solution is fault tolerant, highly scalable, and integrates with the legacy Tax Administration System built by Accenture.
