Trebuchet’s system for tracking orders was difficult to use, as its sales orders could contain multiple vendors. The system also made it challenging for managing invoice flow and goods on behalf of their customers.

Avanade implemented a Microsoft Dynamics AX solution for Trebuchet  covering all of the Nordic countries. The solution uses electronic data interchange (EDI) providing electronic documentation management, strong handling of logistics, and it’s easy to modify. The solution enables Trebuchet to manage each client by flexible setups in the system and with tools that make it possible to be compliant with different client requirements.

This Microsoft Dynamics AX solution allows Trebuchet to order from stock anywhere within the company. The solution supports Trebuchet to enable a totally integrated supply chain where flows of information, flow of goods and flow of cash are consolidated on behalf of multiple clients (4PL) with global brand owners, agents and retailers. Trebuchet’s focus is fast moving consumer goods with initial priority of the beverage and fashion industries and the large amount of goods are now managed with fewer employees.
