Avanade migrates Cedex to a cloud-based email platform in record time

Business situation

​At the beginning of 2011, Cedex decided that it was time to take another step forward in its technological evolution and began looking at the possibility of migrating its email infrastructure, which was based on SendMail v8. The main aim was to optimize the 700 existing mailboxes and introduce the Microsoft Exchange Online email service for users present in its five locations.

Solution

​Avanade presented a pilot project including a professional collaboration proposal in response to the request from Cedex for migration to Microsoft Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS). Avanade used its own Avanade Connected Methods (ACM) methodology, created from Microsoft methodologies (MSF) and the ITL standard, to carry out the migration at the Cedex head office (Edificio CETA) in Madrid in a record time of 50 hours.
