Chris Richter is North America Security Practice for Avanade, a 38,000-person-strong IT services firm focused on helping organisations maximise their investments in the Microsoft ecosystem. Chris and his team are committed to helping our clients improve their security posture while improving operational performance and overall workplace experience.
Most recently Chris was CenturyLink’s vice president of global security services, and was responsible for the company’s global managed and professional security services business. Prior to that he served as senior vice president, security services, at Level 3. With over 25 years of experience in IT, Chris has held a number of leadership positions in managed security, IT consulting, and sales with several technology product and services organisations. By helping organisations re-architect their risk management programs and security controls to outsourced, virtualised, and shared-infrastructure services, Chris has assisted numerous IT organisations lower their cybersecurity costs, while improving their overall defence posture. He has acted as both a board member and technical advisor for technology firms, and is a sought-after author and speaker on cybersecurity, risk management, security digital-transformation and IT outsourcing. He most recently contributed to the book “The Digital Big Bang,” published by Wiley & Sons, (released in September 2019). Chris is also member of the ISSA and ISACA, and holds Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certifications.

Hemma Prafullchandra is Chief Technology Officer of Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance. She influences M365 security and compliance vision and product plans, and works closely with customers, partners, analysts and industry bodies to deeply understand their needs, and build mindshare of Microsoft’s cybersecurity strategy and solutions.
Hemma has authored 14+ patents, managed intellectual property programs and innovations, and frequently speaks on cybersecurity challenges and technologies. She has 32 years of industry experience developing networking and security products, standards and best practices.
Hemma is a member of NIST VCAT and ForgePoint Capital Advisory Council. She is an advocate for diversity and inclusion, and an active mentor/coach for cybersecurity professionals.
