Continental AG is adopting Microsoft Office 365 to boost productivity

Business Situation

With sales of €44 billion in 2017, Continental AG is among the leading automotive suppliers worldwide and currently has about 235,000 employees in 50+ countries. Continental AG employees are using IBM Notes and IBM Sametime for mail, calendars and virtual collaboration. They also use several products from Microsoft, particularly for workplace and collaboration.

To support a vision to introduce new, efficient and user-friendly work styles, Continental AG made a strategic decision to move to Microsoft Office 365. After selecting Avanade as strategic partner, the goal was set to migrate all affected Continental AG employees to Office 365 by the end of December 2018.

“With this project Continental AG will introduce a new, efficient and user-friendly work style, based on Office 365 digital capabilities by the end of 2018 to support Continental‘s vision to be the most attractive and most progressive employer.”

Stefan Hopf IT Project Manager, Continental AG
