Emma McGuigan

Emma McGuigan, chair of the Avanade Board of Directors, leads Accenture Enterprise & Industry Technologies, which helps clients achieve enterprise-wide transformation by bringing together Accenture’s deep technology, functional and industry expertise across leading platforms. She oversees Accenture’s relationships, strategy and capabilities globally and across all industries for the Enterprise partners and is a member of Accenture’s Global Management Committee.

Emma has held a number of leadership roles during her tenure of more than 25 years at Accenture. Previously, she was the global lead for the Accenture Microsoft Business Group, responsible for driving Accenture’s overall Microsoft business, including strategy, innovation, market differentiation, the Microsoft alliance relationship, and Avanade and Accenture’s delivery capability for Microsoft solutions. Prior to that she served as Group Technology Officer for Accenture’s Communications, Media and Technology operating group.

Emma is passionate about technology and inspiring young women to embark on careers in science, technology, engineering and math. She has been named as one of the 50 most influential women in UK IT by Computer Weekly magazine and has been listed in Computer Business Review’s 10 most successful women in UK technology.

Emma holds a master’s degree in electronics from the University of Edinburgh.
