Avanade Ranks #3 on Newsweek’s List of the Top 100 Most Loved Workplaces for 2022

2022 Microsoft Global Alliance SI Partner of the Year Recognized for Employee Sentiment and Satisfaction

Seattle, WA (October 19, 2022)

Avanade, the leading Microsoft solutions provider, has been ranked #3 in Newsweek’s Most Loved Workplaces list. The list recognizes Avanade as one of the top 100 companies in the U.S. putting respect, caring, and appreciation for their employees at the center of their business model.

Newsweek’s Most Loved Workplaces list is produced in collaboration with the Best Practice Institute (BPI), a leadership development and benchmark research company. The final rankings were determined after surveying more than 1.4 million employees from businesses with workforces varying in size from 50 to over 10,000.

“At Avanade we pride ourselves on doing what matters, whether it’s to help our clients focus on what’s truly important so they can embrace change and accelerate growth, or to deepen the impact we’re making in our communities,” said Avanade CEO, Pam Maynard. “Our employees don’t just do cutting-edge work, each individual brings to Avanade unique talents, as well as determination and empathy. We’re honored to be recognized by Newsweek for the second year in a row for creating an exemplary employee experience, and we remain committed to fostering an environment in which our people feel inspired, confident and cared for.”

A joint venture between Accenture and Microsoft, Avanade was jointly named with Accenture the Microsoft 2022 Global Alliance SI Partner of the Year – the 17th time receiving the recognition. With one of the largest numbers of Microsoft certified professionals worldwide, with more than 60,000 Microsoft certifications, Avanade has grown significantly over the course of last year, welcoming more than 1,700 new hires in North America, 40 percent of them women, and reaching nearly 60,000 people globally. As an expert in employee experience, Avanade’s employees enjoy flexible work schedules so they can prioritize their personal and home lives and achieve a tangible work-life balance.

"The companies on this list represent the best at placing love at the center of their employee's experience," said Louis Carter, CEO, Best Practice Institute. "The number of applications this year and analysis of survey data reinforces our original findings that love is the strongest predictor of the strength of a company's culture, employee engagement, and satisfaction."

“As a result of ‘The Great Resignation,’ more companies recognize the importance of focusing on employee satisfaction to not only attract but retain top talent,” said Nancy Cooper, Global Editor in Chief, Newsweek. “The businesses on this year’s list clearly demonstrated that commitment.”

Methodology

To identify the top 100 companies for the Newsweek ranking, companies were evaluated and scored as follows: 35 percent of the initial score was based on employee survey responses; 25 percent was derived from analysis of external public ratings from sites such as Comparably, Careerbliss, Glassdoor, Indeed and Google; and 40 percent came from direct interviews with and written responses from company officials. Newsweek then conducted additional research into every company on the list, as well as the top runners up, to determine the final list of 100 companies and their ranking. (The list includes both U.S. firms and companies with a strong U.S. presence that are based overseas.)
