Seattle, September 6, 2023

Avanade, the leading Microsoft solutions provider, today announces the appointment of Innes Grant as its Lead for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Responsible Business.

Innes will lead the development and delivery of Avanade's ESG strategy which underscore the company's commitment to its ESG principles and shape how Avanade engages with clients. The role oversees both Avanade’s Corporate Citizenship initiatives and its 'Tech for Social Good' program, designed to catalyze digital innovation in nonprofit and International Governmental Organizations.

The increasing prominence of ESG on the board agenda has driven unprecedented demand for technologies that can help leaders deliver on their company's ESG goals. Avanade's Trendlines research highlights the critical importance of embracing sustainable practices with 65 percent of business leaders stating that reducing the energy and resource impacts of cloud, network and devices is among their top priorities over the next 12-18 months.

"I'm truly excited about the opportunity to lead Avanade's ESG and Responsible Business initiatives,” says Innes. “In this critical era of corporate responsibility, a leader’s role goes beyond commercial success – it's about driving positive impact in society and operating sustainably. As organizations increasingly focus on sustainability reporting, improvement and regulatory compliance, Avanade’s expertise becomes paramount in helping clients navigate this evolving landscape, through the power of Microsoft technology."
