We were honored to be recognized again as the 2015 Microsoft Alliance Partner of the Year at Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) in Orlando this year. This award is voted upon by the Microsoft field and is a testament to the hard work of Avanade and Accenture colleagues all over the world to invest in innovation and outcomes for our mutual clients. Our alliance is truly a global one, and congratulations to our teams in Italy (Microsoft Country Partner of the Year – Italy) and the United States (East Region Cloud Partner of the Year and West Region Alliance Partner of the Year) for the recognition they received with local partner of the year awards.
Microsoft’s new direction makes it very relevant to our enterprise marketplace. Listening to Satya Nadella’s keynote, I was especially intrigued by the company’s stated ambition to “reinvent productivity and business processes,” as that is ultimately at the heart of the value we seek to deliver for our clients. Microsoft is at the forefront of changing the way people work, enabling a more mobile, agile, relevant experience for employees. In addition, this focus is also about helping to transform the customer experience to be more engaging and personal. In this context, we were especially proud to be recognized as both the Microsoft CRM Partner of the Year and Microsoft Dynamics Reseller of the Year. With offerings in the areas of Digital Customer, Digital Workplace and business applications, Avanade is positioning itself as the leading digital innovator in the marketplace
The product demos of Windows 10, Cortana Analytics and Project GigJam were compelling, and the HoloLens scenarios were the icing on the cake during Satya’s keynote. We are already putting some of these innovations to work at our clients like Freeport-McMoRan through Internet of Things (IoT) and hybrid cloud solutions. It was also very good to see new partners on the WPC stage hailing from non-Microsoft backgrounds. It brought home the commitment to interoperability and end-to-end solutions in our fast moving world. I am excited about the opportunities and possibilities in the coming 12 months and hope to show the progress at the next WPC.
