Delivering award winning customer experiences for clients with Sitecore

There’s been a shift in how companies interact with their customers. Companies who understand their customers and then meet and exceed those expectations win in the marketplace. How much? In a recent study, Avanade and Sitecore found that for every $1 invested in Customer Experience, organizations can expect $3 in return.
Today, we are helping a number of our clients monetize and reinvent customer experiences through innovative, engaging digital marketing solutions that connect creative to online website presence to connected commerce and channel engagement. We do this so that marketing can focus on their brand and their core business rather than technology, through offerings like our Digital Marketing Managed Services.
One of the ways we deliver this type of online experience is through our partnership with Sitecore. Avanade has been working with Sitecore since 2012 to deliver a simple, unified approach to digital marketing, customer experience and web content management. I am proud to say that Avanade remains Sitecore’s first and only global platinum services partner, a clear indication of our depth of knowledge and experience on Sitecore’s experience platform.
This week we were excited to learn that Sitecore has recognized two of Avanade's clients for their success in delivering outstanding customer experiences.
- Ashley Furniture has earned Sitecore’s 2015 Best Use of Commerce award for its success reinventing the online experience for Ashley Furniture Home Store.com. We helped Ashley Furniture transform its online shopping experience to the point that it rivals the local in-store experience customers have come to expect. On “Black Friday” alone, the company more than doubled expectations for online sales, outperforming every single individual local store.
- Accenture was awarded the 2015 Site of the Year award for its success reimagining com. Accenture leverages Sitecore’s content management solutions to deliver a leading-edge user experience and showcase new and engaging content for more than 3 million visits a month. Key features of the site include: a search-based approach; responsive design that enables the same user experience across all devices; engaging video, infographics and imagery; and content sharing through social networks. The new digital platform provides Accenture with an essential tool for engaging clients, recruits, investors and other stakeholders with highly relevant content and a modern design that is completely integrated with social, mobile and content strategies.
These honors join two additional 2015 Sitecore Experience Awards to Avanade clients in Asia in March:
- Cricket Australia was awarded both the People’s Choice Award and the Overall Winner Award for its best-in-class digital transformation program based on the Sitecore® Experience Platform™. Avanade and Accenture worked closely with Cricket Australia to build the most powerful digital media business in the cricket world, create a new digital home for the latest news and highlights, and host a series of other sub-sites to promote and develop the sport in Australia. The project required a broad range of services across the entire digital supply chain, including web, mobility, cloud, social media, analytics and video. Cricket Australia’s web properties service more than one million unique users each month; cricket.com.au is now the most popular cricket website in Australia and Cricket Australia Live is the most popular cricket app, rapidly delivering up-to-the-minute and rich content to cricket fans.
- Ascendas, Singapore, was honored with the Best Use of Omni-Channel award. Using Sitecore 8, ascendas.com delivers personalized customer experiences to site visitors based not only on their IP addresses but also based on their click behavior through their customer journey.The digital marketing platform at Ascendas displays contents, managed in Sitecore, to multiple channels, including the website, mobile/tablet sites through the use of responsive design; targeted email campaigns by using EXM capabilities; and various digital signage displays, such as interactive touch-screen table top and video walls.
