In March 2021, Avanade Brazil announced the launch of our ‘ ADA–Todas na Avanade’ initiative, a pioneering program that aims to bring more women into our field and train them to become experts within the Microsoft stack. At Avanade, we know that inclusion is the rising tide that lifts all boats, which is why we’ve undertaken initiatives like this globally to improve gender parity within our own organization and across the tech space. "ADA - Todas na Avanade" invites women to create new narratives for women in tech the creation of 200 job opportunities within our organization and provide digital skills training to women in Brazil.

The name ADA-Todas na Avanade translates to ADA—All in Avanade, highlighting our commitment to grow our skills and our business as a team, because at Avanade, we know that together, we go beyond.

Named ADA as tribute to Augusta Ada Lovelace, the world’s first computer programmer and a leading symbol for women in technology, the initiative, our first in Brazil, will provide 200 women with full-time positions at different career levels and the opportunity to learn new digital skills through our training programs.

This program was the brainchild of Rodrigo Caserta, former Avanade Brazil General Manager and current Avanade Growth Markets Growth Markets Area President, who had a personal goal to increase gender equity within Avanade.

In addition, the 200 recruits will receive coaching and mentoring from our business leaders in Brazil, so they have the resources and guidance they need to achieve their aspirations, grow their skills and climb the ladder at Avanade. The program kicked off with a bang, with 21 women onboarding in May, and hiring has continued throughout the summer of 2021.

The ‘ADA–Todas na Avanade’ initiative complements our global STEM Scholarship program which enable more young women to pursue education and rewarding careers in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields. The Avanade STEM scholarship stems from our commitment to increasing gender parity at all levels of our organization and within the entire tech industry, and to make a genuine human impact on the world.

In Brazil, the STEM Scholarship program is partnered with Sao Paulo University (Impacta) and Recife University (Unicap) where three young women will get to study a four-year technology course fully funded by Avanade. At the heart of these programs and initiatives is Avanade’s firm commitment to champion gender equality and increase the number of women in STEM fields.

Women interested in a career in tech, know that there’s space for you at Avanade! Together, we are improving the future of women in technology.
