Solution
The customer engaged Accenture and Avanade to help guide and implement a global workspace project. The work was implemented on time, under budget and with minimal disruption in an aggressive 16-month timeframe, providing employees with a unified platform to collaborate and communicate more effectively and efficiently, and help them make its strategic vision a reality.
Results
With more than 15,000 work stations, two customer-facing websites, one global and nearly 30 local robustly equipped intranet sites, communication tools and team sites, these forestry workers are much better connected. The new system is well-liked and well-used. Search, blog and discussion capabilities increase interaction, and a people directory helps locate experts. More robust e-mail and communication tools foster better collaboration.
