Avanade appoints Bhavya Kapoor as new Growth Markets Area President

What:   Following Rodrigo Caserta’s appointment as Avanade’s new Global Technology Business Group Lead, Bhavya Kapoor succeeds Rodrigo as Avanade’s Growth Markets Area President. Both appointments are effective from 1 June 2024.

Avanade, the leading Microsoft solutions provider, today announced that it has appointed Bhavya Kapoor as the new Area President for Growth Markets. Most recently Avanade’s Southeast Asia Managing Director, Bhavya takes the reins from Rodrigo De Queiroz Caserta, who assumes a new role as Avanade’s Global Technology Business Group Lead. Both appointments are effective from 1 June 2024.

In his new role, Bhavya is responsible for Avanade’s strategic direction and priorities, accelerating business growth, expanding the company’s market-leading position, and creating an inclusive culture across Avanade's most diverse regions that include Asia-Pacific, Japan and Latin America. Bhavya reports into Pamela Maynard, CEO of Avanade, and joins Avanade’s global Executive Committee. He continues to be based in Singapore.

Bhavya joined Avanade in 2021 as Avanade’s Southeast Asia Managing Director, with over two decades of experience in business management, technology and consulting. Under his leadership, Avanade’s Southeast Asia business has experienced double-digit growth, recognized as an inclusive employer, and named Microsoft’s leading partner in the region.

Bhavya is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School, holds a master’s in business administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications. He also sits on the board of International Institute of Rural Reconstruction (IIRR), a global non-profit organization whose mission is to empower rural people to build resilient communities and attain socioeconomic equity through creative and community-led action.
