JA Worldwide’s updated technology strategy prepares students for the digital revolution

Business Situation

For 100 years, JA Worldwide – one of the world’s largest youth-serving non-profit organizations – has prepared young people for employment and entrepreneurship. More than 465,000 volunteers serve more than 10 million students in more than 100 countries. To make sure its programs prepare students for participation in today’s digital revolution, JA wanted to explore how to incorporate today’s latest technologies into its programs and operations and create an approach that would allow it to stay on top of technology developments in the years ahead.

Solution

Avanade, a global sponsor of Junior Achievement, hosted an Xplore session to help JA Worldwide leaders identify and prioritize how it will incorporate the latest technologies into its work with Junior Achievement student participants, creating a technology strategy roadmap for its next three to six years.

“It has been exciting. I am so grateful for Avanade bringing us together to talk about technology and innovation.”

Terry Stouffer Head of Marketing and Communications, JA Worldwide

Results

As a result of the Xplore session, JA Worldwide reviewed its digital strategy, reset its priorities and is currently exploring ways to address the data collection challenges it identified.
