“As a consultant you need to get used to being on a customer’s site at all times, which can be quite a change. But my time with Avanade so far has been a very rewarding and gratifying experience.
In addition to the great and intensive training courses on offer, my colleagues are always willing to help me. I’m constantly pushed out of my comfort zone but there is always someone there to answer my questions.”
“I have been incredibly fortunate to work with a brilliant team led by a very supportive group manager. Generally though, Avanade is filled with people who love what they do. Their enthusiasm and their technical expertise are all infectious – it makes it a fun place to learn!
I love being able to make a difference, too. Data and analytics is a crucial part of all businesses going forward, and I can definitely see the value of the work I’m doing.”
‘It feels like I’ve been given a very unique and outstanding chance to be part of something special here.
That’s because Avanade is a growing company that puts training of their employees as one of its main objectives. With this as a priority, it is only natural that we take our internal talent and form them into the leaders of the company. I myself started work as a consultant in Denmark and now I lead the technical part of Avanade Canada."
"I’m the lead for big IT infrastructure transformation projects. In these kinds of projects the whole organisation of a company is involved. Overseeing the cooperation of many different parties is a great challenge to have.
The variety, the teamwork, the chance to personally take influence, and the true friends I’ve made here over the years. This is why Avanade is the place to be for me."
"I was a freelance consultant in New York City for more than 20 years before joining Avanade. That gave me the freedom to chase the latest technology. But the downside was that I would rarely be given a large project.
My role was almost always tactical. At Avanade I get to manage (rather large!) projects. So I get to grow in a way I never have before – leading as well as doing."
"During my first time stint at Avanade I remember going to customers’ sites and noticing staff who’d been there for many years and seemed pretty happy. So I gave it a try for a bit.
But I missed the excitement of the challenge, the stealth teams I was a part of and the variety of work. It was handshakes a plenty when I came back and a few hugs. Good to be back."
