He holds a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Dresden in Germany and has conducted research as a visiting scientist at the Carnegie Mellon University Centre for Machine Translation.

Chris Russo joined Houston’s office in May, 2019 with over six years of sales experience. Prior to Avanade, he spent time at both Gartner & Capgemini. Chris’s passion extends into the professional wrestling ring, where he spent a year as a broadcaster & announcer for WWE, making him the perfect fit to moderate guests on What’s your Take. Chris believes in the power of healthy debate, introspective thinking, and a body slam when guests get out of line. He lives in Houston with his wife, Jelena, and their cat, Bob.
Joel Lindsey
Executive, SW Data and AI Market Unit Lead
Joel Lindsey is an executive for Avanade in the SW. Joel has responsibility for the Data, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics business in the region. Joel is also an Adjunct Professor for Southern Methodist University, where he teaches in the school’s Master of Data Science graduate program. Prior to Avanade, Joel led the Global Digital Services business for both NIIT Technologies and Hewlett-Packard Enterprise where had responsibility for driving digital transformation efforts for clients across more than 15 countries around the globe. Joel is based in Dallas and is an active part of the data and artificial intelligence academic, start-up and industry eco-system in the region. He is a graduate of Texas Tech and Southern Methodist University.
