As a Data Protection Consultant, you’ll lead the delivery of data protection and data governance solutions for Avanade clients. You’ll bring hands-on technical expertise, own project outcomes, and guide clients and junior team members through complex security and compliance initiatives.

What you’ll do

· Lead or co-lead client engagements focused on data protection and data governance.

· Design and implement Microsoft Purview solutions (e.g., sensitivity labeling strategies, advanced DLP policies/integrations, Purview DSPM, data lifecycle/retention controls).

· Perform threat mapping and gap analysis across structured, unstructured, cloud, and on-premises data.

· Facilitate client workshops and stakeholder discussions to translate requirements into scalable, secure Microsoft-based solutions.

· Own solution design decisions, configuration, and technical documentation.

· Provide technical mentorship to Analysts and Senior Analysts; lead workstreams or small teams.

· Contribute to estimations, delivery planning, and risk management.

· Support solutioning efforts, proposals, and internal capability development.

· Build awareness and controls for emerging AI and agentic AI security considerations (e.g., Security Copilot).

This position is open to candidates located in the locations listed on the job requisition. Candidates are welcome to work remotely or out of one of our regional offices. Travel is required.

As a Data Protection Senior Analyst, you’ll support the delivery of data protection, data governance, and privacy solutions for Avanade clients. You’ll work under the guidance of senior team members to help design, implement, and operate data protection capabilities while building strong foundational skills in security, compliance, and client delivery.

What you’ll do

• Support client engagements focused on data protection, data governance, and compliance initiatives.

• Assist with configuration and administration of Microsoft Purview capabilities (e.g., sensitivity labels/encryption, DLP policies, data classification/discovery, Insider Risk Management).

• Participate in requirements gathering, workshops, and documentation efforts.

• Execute assigned tasks within project plans and contribute to on-time, high-quality delivery.

• Develop technical documentation, configuration guides, and client-ready deliverables.

• Actively pursue learning, certifications, and hands-on experience in data protection technologies.

• Contribute to emerging areas such as AI and agentic AI security, under guidance.

Introduction:

As a SME within the ICOE, you will support sales, solutioning and delivery for our regions globally. You will support governance, digital modernization, surround and general Power Platform activation projects, including copilot studio and optionally intelligent automation efforts. You will collaborate with the solution evolution lead, the asset team, managed services and the client solutions teams to drive the agenda of Power Platform at Avanade. Keeping your Power Platform and all any related certifications up to date and complete will be required. Your main targets will be utilization based (a combination of BD and chargeable hours). You will be actively supporting our 3 missions in the ICOE:

The Power Platform Subject Matter Expert (SME) at manager is primarily a SME in this space, experienced in Power Platform projects, both as part of presales, and sale engagements, but also experienced in Delivery.  Together we do what matters. 

What you’ll do:

• Boost the sales across the globe, but primarily focused on the region within which you are located.

• Support driving power platform adoption across this region

• Work closely with the Microsoft Product Team in Redmond to drive innovation.

• Align with the Client solutions teams, and work cross practises to promote, support and evangelise Power Platform and the associated roadmap, and ensure timely support from Microsoft when required.

Skills and experiences:

• 5+ years working in Power Platform consulting within a large enterprise organization.

• Solid understanding of the operations and culture at our ATC-I or Off Shore centres

• Ensure alignment of goals, team (skills) and priorities.

• Deep knowledge of Power Platform offerings.

• Ability to have C-level conversation with clients and internal stakeholders and can leverage existing relations in the field, both internal and external (e.g. Microsoft).
