What you’ll do
• Use your deep knowledge of Azure cloud services to design resilient, scalable and secure cloud environments covering the full breadth of the Azure platform
• Design and implement Azure Landing Zones to establish a scalable, secure and compliant foundation for deploying cloud services.
• Lead complex migrations for on-premises infrastructure, applications, and databases to Azure.
• Develop solutions for Edge and Hybrid scenarios by integrating Azure Stack and other technologies to extend Azure capabilities to on-premises environments and edge devices.

What you’ll do
- Partner with clients to understand business problems, opportunities, and priorities, translating them into clear data, analytics, and AI use cases
- Combine business analysis and data product thinking to define scope, success measures, roadmaps, and requirements for data‑driven solutions
- Analyse source systems, APIs, and data feeds, assessing data quality, structure, and suitability for analytics and AI use cases

🌟 About the Role
As an ERP Functional Architect specializing in Supply Chain within Avanade’s Global Integrated Centre of Excellence (ICOE), you will be responsible for designing, shaping, and delivering intelligent, scalable supply chain solutions on Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM.
You will partner with global clients to transform their supply chain operations, enhance visibility, optimize planning, and modernize processes using the latest capabilities—including AI-powered forecasting, automation, and analytics.
Manufacturing experience is not required, but it is considered a strong advantage and will open opportunities to support broader transformation programs.
This is a high-impact architecture role ideal for someone who wants to influence global ERP standards and deliver next-generation supply chain capabilities at scale.

🔑 Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design
· Lead the functional architecture of D365 F&SCM across global ERP programs.
· Develop solution blueprints, process maps, fit-gap analysis, and cross-functional integration designs.
· Embed AI capabilities such as demand forecasting, stocking optimization, anomaly detection, and intelligent replenishment into solution designs.
· (Optional) Contribute to Manufacturing solution design if you have experience in areas such as Production Control, Shop Floor, Lean/Process manufacturing, or costing.
· Participate in Avanade Communities of Practice (COP).
Client Engagement & Advisory
· Act as a trusted advisor to Supply Chain, Operations, and Logistics leaders—guiding future-state design and best-practice adoption.
· Lead workshops across supply chain functions (procurement, inventory, warehousing, logistics, planning, product management).
· Support clients adopting modern capabilities including Copilot, AI-augmented planning, and predictive operational insights.
· Communicate complex functional requirements and solution designs in clear, business-oriented language.
Delivery Quality & Governance
· Ensure functional governance, solution integrity, and design quality across global delivery teams following Method One standards.
· Support estimation, solution assurance, and design reviews throughout implementation.
· Identify and manage functional risks, dependencies, and integration points across supply chain workstreams.
Thought Leadership & ICOE Contribution
· Contribute to global delivery standards, templates, accelerators, and solution patterns for supply chain transformation.
· Support regions in scaling AI-enabled supply chain capabilities, ensuring consistent adoption and quality.

Role and Organization Context
The ICOE is a single organization that brings together Avanade’s existing COEs (Center of Excellence) to deliver excellence at scale to Avanade and clients. The three missions of the ICOE:
The primary mission within the SME Tower is to create strong client and partner relationships by delivering subject matter expertise throughout the sales and delivery lifecycle. The key activities for the tower include:
· A home for SMEs and Thought leaders – Avanade’s deep technical, experienced client-facing resources who can be at the “tip of the spear” with the latest Microsoft technologies, while also promoting best practices in any situation.
· Driving advanced certification and technical eminence for SMEs, leveraging the breadth of experience in Accenture, Avanade, and Microsoft (and other technology partners) – becoming recognized as the place for specific technical resources across the organization.
· Providing a clear technical career path for people to grow and develop, in line with the required certifications and experience, while offering the ability to cross-skill between solution areas and practices leveraging communities – Industry, LOB, technical, etc., as part of the new Integrated COE.
· Working closely with the Solution Evolution & Asset Towers to ensure alignment with both solution area and practice roadmaps, while bringing the best of what the ICOE has to any engagement – client-facing deliveries or pursuits, solution area play evolution, practice asset leverage, industry specialists.
· Supporting the Solutioning & Shared Services Towers with deep specific technical skills as required to differentiate client experience in both presales and delivery.
· Supporting the solution areas, practices, LOBs, and play squads as required, with specific technical resources, while also acting as the conduit between the towers of the ICOE – for example, leveraging assets or harvesting collateral/assets for continuous improvement.
