Avanade signs White House Equal Pay Pledge reaffirming commitment to pay parity
With gender equality a major topic in the technology industry and in the political arena, Avanade is proud to announce that we have joined 30+ other progressive companies committing to the White House Equal Pay Pledge. The pledge, launched at the first-ever United State of Women Summit in June 2016, encourages companies to recognize their critical roles in advancing equal pay and helping close the gap.
“Avanade’s commitment to the equal pay pledge brings to life one of our core values which is ‘changing things for the better,’” said Mick Slattery, president – North America. “It reflects our shared philosophy with our parent companies Accenture and Microsoft, as well as many of our clients, including Delta Air Lines and Unilever.”
Avanade’s North America HR lead, Erika Bogar King, said, “We believe that workforce diversity and inclusiveness are key elements of unleashing the power of our global team to create the innovative solutions that our clients need to thrive in the digital world. This pledge is one of the significant milestones in our drive towards solidifying these values in our culture and in the countries around the world in which we live and work.”
