About the Role
As a Data Migration Architect, you will play a critical role in delivering complex enterprise transformation programs by designing and leading end-to-end data migration solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, data engineers, and delivery teams to ensure data is migrated accurately, securely, and efficiently across modern cloud and enterprise platforms.
This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, consulting capability, stakeholder management, and hands-on experience delivering large-scale migration initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Define and lead data migration strategies, architectures, and delivery roadmaps for enterprise transformation programs.
Conduct source system analysis, data profiling, and migration assessments to determine migration readiness and identify data quality issues.
Facilitate business and technical workshops to define migration scope, data mappings, transformation rules, validation criteria, and reconciliation requirements.
Design and oversee data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) frameworks to support migration activities.
Establish data governance, data quality, cleansing, and remediation processes to improve migration outcomes.
Develop and manage reconciliation frameworks, exception handling processes, and migration validation controls.
Lead migration planning, mock migrations, cutover activities, deployment execution, and post-go-live support.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, developers, and project teams to ensure successful delivery of migration programs.
Provide leadership and guidance to data engineers and project teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
Identify and mitigate migration risks, dependencies, and issues while ensuring project milestones are achieved.
