Leading Microsoft solutions provider, Avanade, has just signed a contract with Trioworld on developing a new ERP solution to strengthen and streamline the global plastics manufacturer´s growth journey.

One of the world's leading manufacturers of plastic packaging solutions, Trioworld, has signed a million-dollar agreement with premium service integrator Avanade. Over the next three years, Avanade will develop and implement a new standard, future-proof IT system that unites Trioworld's many work processes - from warehousing and production to reporting and documentation of sustainability initiatives.

Trioworld has been on an intense growth journey in recent years with several acquisitions of production facilities and recycling centres in Denmark, France, the Netherlands, and Canada. In this context, Trioworld has been looking for a new ERP platform to harmonize the company's business processes, strengthen the digital journey, and optimize product development across the group.

It is the first time Avanade and Trioworld have collaborated, and Avanade's General Manager in the Nordics, Antonio Marsico, is looking forward to the new partnership.

The solution is based on Microsoft D365 F&SCM platform, and Avanade's extensive expertise in the Microsoft ecosystem played an essential role in Trioworld's choice of supplier.

Paving the way for sustainability reporting

In addition to managing and connecting all Trioworld's many work processes and creating a standardised and future-proof solution, the new ERP solution will also strengthen Trioworld's sustainability reporting - now and in the future. Avanade's General Manager in the Nordics, Antonio Marsico, also sees great potential in the partnership.

"Sustainability, waste reduction and increased recycling is a major focus for us and Trioworld. Right now, the plastics industry faces several regulations and requirements for increased reporting from individual countries and the EU. The new system supports this work and, as I see it, will help pave the way for sustainability reporting across industries," says Antonio Marsico, General Manager for Avanade in the Nordics.

The Trioworld contract will come into force in the autumn of 2023. Avanade expects the development of the new ERP system to start at the beginning of 2024. The roll-out will occur in several phases over the next three years.
