Diversity drives better results

But don’t just take our word for it. Consider the following facts: 
  • In a study by the American Sociological Association of 506 U.S. based businesses, each 1 percent increase in the rate of gender diversity resulted in an approximately 3 percent increase in sales revenues. 
  • Harvard Business Review found that employees of firms with two-dimensional diversity are 45 percent likelier to report that their company’s market share grew over the previous year. 
  • Between 2008 and 2010, companies with more diverse top teams were also top financial performers. McKinsey found that for companies ranking in the top quartile of executive-board diversity, returns on equity (ROEs) were 53 percent higher, on average, than they were for those in the bottom quartile.

Our programs encourage diversity

We’re creating change though initiatives that support the people who are under-represented in our industry: 
  • Avanade offers training through all levels of the organization focused on topics that include Unconscious Bias, Inclusive Leadership, Diversity 101 and regularly hosted Dialogues on Diversity. 
  • The Avanade Leadership Program for Women and Realize Your Potential initiative support women advancing their careers as quickly as men. 
  • Employee resource groups include dedicated networks for LGBT, veterans and women as well as an affinity group for Hispanics and African Americans. We also have diversity leadership teams in each of our three geographic areas, a dedicated Allies at Avanade program and mentoring networks across all our offices worldwide.
